This example is powered by a recent professionally built 383 c.i.d. stroked high performance smallblock 4bbl. V8 backed by a 3 speed automatic transmission and stout 12-bolt rear end. This engine features aluminum cylinder heads, a high rise aluminum intake manifold, a Holley 4bbl, carburetor, upgraded ignition, and full free flowing exhaust system with ceramic headers and dual pipes (sounds excellent.) Although the 1967 Chevelle and Malibu rode on a 155-inch wheelbase, the newly designed 1968 models rode on a sporty 112 inch wheelbase.
